The Leander Ledger, a weekly newspaper established in 2008, covers city, leisure, school and sports news in the Leander area.

Published Thursdays with a press run of nearly 8,000 copies, the Ledger is distributed free to a section of Leander. Out of area third class subscriptions are available for $35 a year and first class subscriptions are available for $85 a year.

Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The Ledger is owned by Cox Newspapers and is part of its subsidiary, Austin Community Newspapers.
