The AARP will have a meeting 10 a.m. Sept. 1 at High Point Fellowship, 600 W. New Hope Road, Cedar Park.
The speaker will be chapter member Richard (Dick) Furney. Furney enjoys a hobby that reflects his interest and time, woodworking. He has generously helped the Cedar Park chapter by designing and building many of the wood items used at its monthly meetings. He will discuss getting started, tools and essentials. A special treat will be seeing samples of his woodworking.
